More MJ tribute from MYX music channel this Saturday
Two Sundays ago, MYX did a 24-hour marathon of MJ’s music videos. Probably to match MTV’s upcoming tribute, MYX has decided to do another MJ special this weekend.
On July 11, Saturday at 12 AM, MYX will begin airing “Farewell, Michael Jackson: The MYX Music Memorial”. Interspersed with MJ’s popular music videos are “commentaries, trivia and updated interviews from local artists regarding the passing of a true icon.” This will be another 24-hour special for the music channel.
MJ’s 30th Anniversary Special on ABS-CBN this Sunday
ABS-CBN will air “Michael Jackson’s 30th Anniversary Special” on Sunday evening, July 12. This is a 2-hour concert aired on U.S. television back in 2001 where Michael performed many of his popular hits such as Black or White, Beat It, and Billie Jean.
Songs from the Jackson 5 era were also included in the special. This is also the concert where Britney Spears shared the stage with Michael in the song The Way You Make Me Feel. You didn’t think I’d forget to mention that, did you? 
You just can’t escape the MJ fever. Even malls and several restaurants around the metro are doing some kind of MJ tribute right now. I slept really late after watching his memorial service. I expect there’ll be TV replays of that event in the coming days. Long live the King of Pop! ^_^
