I've been to Quezon province a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed our trip there. Sadly, I can't remember how the night skies looked there. :(

You're very lucky then. :) Sometimes, I wish I don't live in a very urbanized place. I remember reading somewhere that Death Valley in California is the least light polluted place on Earth. The night sky there would make you feel like you're in outer space! I wish I could live in a place with that kind of view at night. :(

I lived in the Mountains when I was a child and between the cool air and the star studded blanket of the night sky, I felt I was really in the sky floating among the stars. Light pollution is really a draw back to city life. Glad we don't have the systemic light pollution problems that urban North America has got.

Exactly! Those are the things which people should really consider changing. I don't know what city you are in but here in Manila, there are like hundreds of billboards around the metro and they're all lit up the whole night.

i totally agree with you about the light pollution issue. it's frustating how people use up light so much at night (e.g big billboards, bldgs, etc.) when it's not entirely needed; most people are sleeping. even here in our city, often times i see lamp/street posts/lights that are running on in broad daylight. too much energy is wasted, tsk. :-S
