The teaser trailer for the most anticipated film of the decade is finally here!

avatar logo If you’ve been living under a rock this past year, let me fill you in. AVATAR is THE movie event of 2009. It is said that James Cameron’s new epic film will introduce a brand new cinematic experience because it’s the first live-action feature film to be shown in full 3D. And with Cameron pioneering new technologies in film-making, I’m sure AVATAR would be all kinds of awesome!

Today, August 21, is Avatar Day! (No, we will not be seeing giant statues of Aang and Kyoshi burning. :P ) Selected IMAX and digital 3D theaters around the world will begin screening a 16-minute preview of AVATAR. ClickTheCity.com is raffling out invites for a screening on August 24. I already entered but if I don’t win and you do, please invite me to go with you!

James Cameron’s “AVATAR” will have its worldwide premiere in theaters on December 18, 2009. And yes, that includes the Philippines!

  1. Hi Belle! Yeah, I’ve loved all of his movies. Aliens, The Abyss but most especially Terminator 2 and Titanic! :D

  2. Thank God I am NOT living under a rock. I have known the existence of this film since January of this year 2009 and have been following its development by reading its page at imdb.com messageboard daily.

    I know people who haven’t heard about this movie yet and would answer “the cartoon?” whenever I mention this. But I wouldn’t say they are living under a rock.

    I hope this movie is everything as James Cameron promised. He is after all, one of the best directors in Hollywood. Director and writer of the highest-grossing movie of all time, creator of Terminator….so yeah Avatar will probably deliver. After all, Cameron has never made a bad movie.
