Welcome to my new little project called The Bookish Pinoy. Yup! That’s what it’s called now. I spent months trying to come up with a name for this project. Let me tell you briefly how it went.
I was originally going for abstract words like “afflatus” but had doubts because they weren’t obviously familiar words to most people. Then there’s that word “bibliophilic” which I mulled over at first but later decided against it because it just sounded silly. And then I also thought of really long site names like – A Filipino Book Reader’s Guide to Philippine Bookstores. Crazy, huh? Thankfully, this week one Google search led me to this word which I think perfectly describes myself. Or, at least I think it does…

And of course, as with most Filipino websites, I had to use “Pinoy”. Please read the About page for more details on what you can expect to see here.
For the initial content, I have added a page listing the websites of some well-known bookstores in the Philippines. Yeah, not much. But I assure you that there’s more to come in the next couple of days. Expect to see at least 3 new posts here every week. This layout is still not final so also expect changes to it during the first few weeks. That’s it for now. ^_^
