This made me want to read A Wrinkle in Time again! I remember liking it way waaaaaay back in grade school. But now I honestly cannot remember the story and why I liked it. I don’t think I was able to fully understand it. You see, I read this book as it was in the list for the Battle of the Books contest in our school. And I just read all the books as fast as I can. haha

Thanks for the warning. I did get the idea that it would be from Stargirl’s POV in the sequel because of the pink cover. My sister also did say they’re all just letters. Hm… There’s a chance it’s not as good but it can’t be that bad. Thanks Tina.

I’m so glad you liked this! Stargirl is one of my favorite books (I must reread this sometime soon, though!), and I’ve always wanted to try to be Stargirl but I don’t know if I have the guts/courage to do that. Still, this book makes for a very good lesson on conformity and acceptance.

On another note, Love Stargirl is a bit more chick-lit-y than this one, since it’s told in Stargirl’s point of view. Still a good read, but just a warning for you.

Glad to hear you still got Cebu as a fallback option. And to be honest, I don’t think one really needs to go to the bookstore every week. We just do that because we can’t help it.

Yes, I lived in Metro Manila for a year, and bought many books, especially from the many booksale chain stores and other stores like booksale. Now their isn’t a St Pauls anywhere that I know of, and only one booksale in Tacloban taht I know of. I do get to go to Cebu ounce in a while.

Sorry to hear about what happened to Booksale there. There’s too many bookstores here in Metro Manila that one can end up just collecting books. Haha! Too little time to read.

Yes Patrick, I like real books better too. Real books are not really an option in Ormoc City, Leyte. We had a book sale, but it was closed, because the rent was raised too much. So I am trying my best to switch to ebooks. I spend allot of time reading on the internet anyway.

Hi! I do have ebooks and the Kindle too. They’re cool to have but I have been reading more on real books lately.

Have you tried ebooks. I moved from the USA to the Philippines. I had thousands of books in the USA, but now I less then 100 real books, but thousands of ebooks, almost all of them free, and a few ebook readers. I still like real book better, but you have to do what you have to do.

I have just finished reading the series and I think that they are the best books that I have ever read! This series made me really like the greek myths of gods and heroes. There are also two books in the Heroes of Olympus series (also by Rick Riordan) out now, so get reading!
